    Description

    The Beach Storm Series have been painted using Acrylics and Oil Pastels.
    The series is inspired by Hot Australian Summer Storms that roll in over the coast typically in the late afternoon.

    After beachgoers have spent the day swimming and basking in the golden sun and the cool breeze hits warm crisp skin, eyes are drawn to the sky for the oncoming weather change. Dark clouds swirl on the horizon and roll over the land to eventually cover the beach exploding with a downpour of cool rain that is swept back and forth by the wind from the ocean.

    Inspired by fresh water creeks that run through green countrysides. The cold crisp water and the fresh clean air hug the creek bed and the water that flows through it. Hours can be spent exploring over rocks and across logs to find little hideouts and looking points to sit, watch and observe. Smooth cool rocks and pebbles skim across the water’s surface and snuggle into the palm of your hand. Little worlds of stone are created, stacked and placed carefully and then left behind for another to discover.
